How Maniva Ski handles personal data, enquiries and newsletter subscriptions, and how to exercise your rights.
Who handles your data
This notice covers personal data processed through the Maniva Ski website: browsing, information and accommodation enquiries, newsletter subscriptions and communications with our team. It is addressed to visitors and people using these services under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Via Filzi 17, 25063 Gardone Val Trompia (BS), Italia
VAT 02756060980
Accommodation enquiries are forwarded to the contact for your selected property, as shown on its page. The property provides information about the processing associated with your stay and any booking.
What data we collect
- Browsing data: IP address, request date and time, requested resources and technical information sent by your browser, processed by the systems that deliver and protect this website.
- Information and accommodation enquiries: contact details and other information you choose to enter in forms or send by email, including stay dates, guest numbers and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address and information relating to your subscription request and consent.
- Job applications: information in CVs and messages you voluntarily send to the contacts listed on our Work with us page.
- Preferences and cookie consent: technical session information, your private/group enquiry choice and preferences handled through Iubenda, described in our Cookie Policy.
Please do not enter identity documents, payment details, health information or other special categories of data that are unnecessary for your enquiry in free-text fields. For specific needs, contact the relevant team first to agree on a suitable channel. If you provide information about other people, limit it to what is necessary and make sure you are entitled to share it.
Why we use data and the legal bases
| Purpose | Data and use | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Operate and protect the website | Browsing, sessions, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. | Legitimate interest in security and service continuity, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Strictly necessary storage is subject to the exemptions under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code. |
| Respond to enquiries | Contact details, messages and stay information; forwarding to your chosen property contact. | Steps requested before entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b), when the enquiry concerns a service; legitimate interest in responding to other communications, Article 6(1)(f). |
| Send the newsletter | Emails about Maniva Ski news, events and offers. | Freely given, specific consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 130 of the Italian Privacy Code. Subscription is not required to browse or make enquiries. |
| Assess job applications | Contact details, experience and relevant professional information. | Steps requested by the applicant before entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b), within the limits of information necessary for recruitment. |
| Meet obligations and protect rights | Information required by law or necessary in connection with a dispute. | Legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c); legitimate interest in establishing and defending legal claims, Article 6(1)(f). |
For optional technologies requiring consent, you can accept, reject or customise your choices in the cookie panel. Newsletter and cookie choices are separate: accepting the banner does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
If you choose not to provide data
You can read the website without subscribing to the newsletter. Mandatory form fields are needed to receive and handle your enquiry: without valid contact details or essential information we may be unable to respond. Other fields are optional.
Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from browsing the website; some external content, such as webcam images, remains disabled. You can still follow links to external sources if you choose to visit them directly.
Who may receive data
Data may be accessed by authorised people handling enquiries and services, providers of hosting, email, support and maintenance, and Iubenda for cookie preference management. Roles, instructions and safeguards are defined according to the processing each service performs.
Availability enquiries are recorded in the website system and sent to the address configured for the selected property and enquiry type. Before proceeding with a stay or purchase, also read the notice of the organisation providing that service.
If you authorise the Marketing category, Meta Pixel and Mailchimp Connected Site may receive browsing data and identifiers for promotional purposes and campaign measurement. Google Analytics 4, if enabled, instead uses the Measurement category. These technologies require a choice separate from essential services; see the Cookie Policy and provider notices for purposes, roles and transfers.
Data may be disclosed to authorities where required by law. Sending an enquiry does not authorise other organisations to use your contact details for promotional campaigns.
How long data is kept
Storage must be limited to the purposes for which data is collected. The criteria differ for each service:
- Information and accommodation enquiries: to handle and conclude the enquiry; any subsequent retention relates to applicable obligations or documented needs to protect rights, within the relevant periods.
- Newsletter: until consent is withdrawn or the service ends; minimum information needed to evidence your choice and honour an unsubscribe request may be kept separately for that purpose.
- Applications: to assess and conclude the relevant recruitment process. Retention for future opportunities requires a purpose and period communicated to the applicant.
- Logs, sessions and preferences: according to technical and security needs and the periods described in the Cookie Policy and the details of the services used.
These criteria also apply to email archives and backups, which follow the retention cycles of their respective systems. Contact the controller for information about the period applicable to your enquiry.
External services and international transfers
Links to ski-pass purchases, properties, WhatsApp, social platforms and area information portals lead to services with their own privacy notices. A simple link does not activate that service within the Maniva Ski website: it is opened when you select the link. Webcam images from Meteopassione are optional external content and depend on your cookie-panel choice.
If a service involves data transfers outside the European Economic Area, the conditions under Chapter V GDPR must be met, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. Service details and information about the applicable safeguards can be requested from the controller and consulted in the provider’s documentation. The location of the website alone does not establish where every provider operates.
The portal’s functions do not make decisions producing legal effects on you solely through automated processing. Private/group choices are used to identify the relevant contact.
How to exercise your rights
Where applicable and within the limits of Articles 15–22 GDPR, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may object to direct marketing at any time.
You can withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, email info@manivaski.it and specify the subscribed address; for cookies use “Cookie preferences”. These actions are independent.
Send privacy requests to info@manivaski.it. You will normally receive a response within one month; any extensions permitted by the GDPR will be explained. Where necessary, proportionate information may be requested to verify your identity.
You can complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority (new tab) or the competent authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred, and seek a judicial remedy.
