Read the mountain before you walk it.
This route crosses demanding mountain terrain. The initial climb to Dosso Alto is steep and includes exposed sections; starting from Chalet Maniva shortens the route compared with Hotel Bonardi. Beyond Dosso Alto, the trail continues over rolling high ground towards Corna Blacca, the great limestone bastion of the so-called Little Brescian Dolomites, with broad views across the valleys and lakes.
