MANIVA · WINTER

San Colombano, below Maniva

A hamlet of Collio on the Valle Trompia approach.

VALLE TROMPIA

About this place

San Colombano is a hamlet of Collio in a basin of upper Valle Trompia. It is a reference point on the drive towards Maniva from this side, as well as a settlement with its own identity. A stop in the hamlet can add to your stay without becoming a mountain hike.

Church and village

The parish is documented as early as 1389. The church dedicated to Saint Columbanus is on Via Maniva: respect services and check actual access times. A place of worship should not be treated as a visitor attraction that is always open.

A stop during your journey

If combining the hamlet with a day on the slopes, plan your stop before the climb or on the return drive. Keep entrances clear and use permitted parking. For organised transport, refer only to the timetable published for the current season.

WINTER

A stop during a winter stay

Plan travel from the Valle Trompia side and check road conditions. The two road approaches are separate in winter: a village stop does not provide a crossing to Bagolino over the pass. Check the currently published service for any shuttle arrangements.
