The Tour starts with a few paved kilometers heading north towards the Crocedomini Pass. The asphalt then gives way to a nice dirt road: you're riding one of the most famous sections of dirt road in the entire pre-Alpine arc, which quickly takes you to an altitude of 2,000 meters.
Another 10 kilometers brings you to the Crocedomini Refuge. I recommend you take advantage of this to stock up on water; from here on you will not encounter many refueling points.
Past the hut turn right, and let yourself be pampered by the hairpin bends that descend to the Cadino hut. Consider taking home some of the 0-kilometer products you'll find for sale, if they fit in your backpack! Otherwise you can enjoy a good snack, why not?
Now the climbing begins. Don't let the gentle slope of the first kilometer fool you, the story changes dramatically in the next stretch: in five kilometers you gain a positive elevation gain of 500 meters, on a rocky terrain with some calf-testing tears!
Fatigue is amply rewarded, however, by the magnificent Lake della Vacca and the "Tita Secchi" refuge at the foot of the Cornone di Blumone (2,843 meters above sea level).
With due caution and the right tire pressure enjoy the alpine trail, entirely rideable along its 7-kilometer extension, that leads you to the Bazena refuge.
The dirt road traveled on the outward journey is truly unique; it is worth "re-pedaling" it to return to Maniva, the starting point.
