Hotel Locanda Bonardi on Maniva is the starting and finishing point of this magnificent, not-too-demanding itinerary, which takes you over 2000 meters above sea level, on the "roof" of the Trompia Valley.
After only three kilometers from the start, in the vicinity of Mount Dasdana (2191 m a.s.l.), the slope gives way and in a moment you will find yourself at the summit of Mount Colombine, a series of four peaks that reach 2214 meters in elevation-they are the highest elevation in the area-positioned along a ridge that runs from Mount Dasdana to the Clusona schooner, the northern watershed between the Trompia Valley and the Camonica Valley.
On the clearest days these heights of the Brescian Pre-Alps offer a privileged view of Lake Garda and the entire Alpine arc.
On this trek we descend to Bivacco Grazzini, a stone construction inaugurated in 2000 in memory of Giovanni Grazzini, a victim of an accident at a young age.
Two rooms offer shelter and eight beds with mattresses and blankets, a fireplace, a cheap stove and a gas stove. The stream you crossed to get to the bivouac provides water for cooking.
A short descent brings you back to an elevation of 1900 meters, where you can cool off in the two small alpine lakes of Ravenola and admire the beautiful huts at the foot of Dosso Craparo. One last effort and there you are on your way back to the top of Dasdana.
Alternatively, once you have walked all the columbines you can return via the convenient mule track that cuts through the mountain on the Val Trompia side. Once at the Casermone, it is possible to climb a piece by the paved road and return to Chalet Dasdana.
From here, retrace your outward tracks to Hotel Bonardi where, with still beautiful landscapes in your eyes, you can treat yourself to a snack to replenish your energy!
