Fancy a hike that's not too strenuous? This proposal of eight kilometers and less than 400 meters of elevation gain is for you; the views are truly unique!
Leaving the Hotel Locanda Bonardi, go slightly uphill on a paved road. At the first hairpin bend proceed to the right on a dirt road and follow it all the way to Passo Maniva.
From Passo Maniva take the asphalt road to the right of the little church, you will admire a splendid view of the Trompia Valley. Be careful, in summer the road is traveled by motorcyclists and cars.
When you reach the Dosso Alto Pass, descend left down a wide path to the Portole Pass. Here you will find to welcome you the Capanna Tita Secchi (1740m a.s.l.)-spacious and very simple-which offers a kitchenette, tables and benches, but above all a splendid view of the Valsabbino slope, which you can comfortably admire from the covered balcony.
This bivouac in the middle of the Little Brescian Dolomites is dedicated to the memory of partisan Tita Secchi Franco, who was killed on September 16, 1944, at the age of 29.
A short but intense climb leads to Cima Caldoline (1828m a.s.l.), the scene for the past few years of the "Cima Caldoline highline World Cup," an incredible spectacle of high altitude tightrope walking!
The last few kilometers of relaxing scenic walk takes you back to the starting point.
